Highclere Castle Barrel Aged Dry Gin｜ Other Products

Highclere Castle Barrel Aged Dry Gin takes the estate's London Dry recipe and rests it in oak previously used for aging premium spirits, then bottles it at 45% ABV (90 proof). Highclere Castle in Hampshire is the real-life setting of Downton Abbey, and the gin draws on the estate gardens where juniper has grown wild since Roman times and where the 1st Earl planted juniper in 1811.The base botanicals are juniper, lavender, lime flower, orange peel, angelica root, cassia bark, cardamom and estate-grown oats; the barrel time adds soft vanilla and warm oak that round out the citrus and juniper. It sits somewhere between a gin and a light whisky, which makes it a natural in an Old Fashioned or a Negroni, and a conversation-starter served neat. For fans of the standard Highclere Castle London Dry, this is the richer, after-dinner version of the same house style.Buy Highclere Castle Barrel Aged Dry Gin online with fast shipping right to your door.
