The Appalachian Fernet incorporates over 40 botanicals, many wild-foraged from the Blue Ridge Mountain slopes surrounding the distillery — primarily bittered with roasted dandelion root, with sumac, sassafras, wild mints, and elderflower among the featured botanicals, fortified with non-GMO Appalachian corn distillate and aged a minimum of six months in red wine barrels.
