Acer rubrum 'Summer Red' has colourful crimson new leaves and red young stems. It's named for the new growth in summer that continues to produce red young leaves. The attractive lobed leaves mature to green then turn lively shades of red, orange and yellow in autumn.
An eye catching specimen, Acer rubrum 'Summer Red' will grow to a height and spread of 8 metres in 20 years, making it ideal for medium to large gardens. A hardy Red Maple tree, it likes a moist but well-drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded position.
