Yushan Blended Malt Taiwan Whisky comes from Nantou Distillery, the Taiwanese state distillery in the mountains of central Taiwan, and takes its name from Yushan, Jade Mountain, the island's highest peak. This blended malt is crafted from 100% malted barley, aged more than three years in both bourbon and sherry casks, and bottled at 40% ABV in a 700ml bottle. It pours golden with aromas of white flowers, cream, honey and spice. The palate is smooth, enhanced by the silky bourbon-cask notes of caramel and vanilla with a touch of sherried fruit, and the finish is clean and gentle. Taiwan's subtropical climate matures whisky fast, so it drinks older than its years. Enjoy it neat, on the rocks, or in a highball. This bottle is one of the best-value introductions to Taiwanese whisky.
