CA 2024 #2 is the second seven-year Smoke Wagon private barrel bottled for California — desert-aged MGP high-rye bourbon, uncut and unfiltered; check your bottle for this barrel's proof. Aaron Chepenik and Jonathan Hensleigh founded Nevada H&C Distilling in Las Vegas in 2012, sourcing 60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley bourbon from MGP in Indiana and aging and blending it in the Mojave heat; their private barrel program is one of the most chased in American whiskey, and the 2024 California barrels are seven-year stock selected for the state. #2 is seven-year MGP high-rye bourbon from one barrel, bottled at barrel strength without chill filtration — a different barrel than #1, which is the point. Expect the Smoke Wagon signature at the age where MGP high-rye hits its stride — caramel, cherry, cinnamon, and rye spice with oak arriving, a big fruit-and-spice palate with leather and pepper, and a long, hot, sweet finish — with whatever this barrel did differently from its sibling. Honest note: seven-year Smoke Wagon single barrels are the sweet spot between the Uncut Unfiltered and the twelve-year picks, and the California barrels are few — buy #1 and #2 together and taste two barrels from the same warehouse side by side. Neat, a drop of water. Smoke Wagon, CA 2024 #2.Buy Smoke Wagon Private Barrel 7 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey CA 2024 #2 online with fast shipping right to your door.
