The Weekend Edit｜ Other Products ｜Four Roses Ten Recipe Tasting Experience

The Ten Recipe Tasting Experience is every one of Four Roses' ten bourbon recipes in one box — the only way outside the Lawrenceburg gift shop to taste the full matrix. Four Roses is the only distillery running two mashbills and five proprietary yeast strains into ten distinct bourbons: the B mashbill is 60% corn and 35% rye, the E is 75% corn and 20% rye, and the V, K, O, Q, and F yeasts bring delicate fruit, light spice, rich fruit, floral essence, and herbal mint respectively. Every Four Roses bottle is a blend of some of these — Single Barrel is OBSV, Small Batch is four recipes, Select is six, the Limited Editions are whatever Brent Elliott picks that year — and this set is the ten building blocks on their own: OBSV, OBSK, OBSO, OBSQ, OBSF, OESV, OESK, OESO, OESQ, OESF; check your box for proof and format. Expect the whole range: the floral Q, the minty F, the cherry-almond K, the rich-fruit O, the delicate V, each on the high-rye and the low-rye base. Honest note: bourbon geeks build entire tasting nights around this box, and it's the single best explanation of why yeast matters that any American distillery offers — for the collector, the club, and the gift that starts an argument about which recipe is best.
